Professor Dr. Y.N. Skiba, born in Russia in 1948, boasts an illustrious career in atmospheric sciences and fluid dynamics. From 1979 to 1984, he led a scientific research group at the Computing Center, Academy of Sciences of the USSR, Novosibirsk. Subsequently, he contributed significantly to the Scientific and Technical Information Computing Center, State Committee for Science and Technology, Council of Ministers of the USSR, Moscow, from 1985 to 1987.
Between 1987 and 1994, Dr. Skiba played a pivotal role at the Laboratory of General Circulation of the Atmosphere, Institute of Numerical Mathematics of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow. In 1989, his exceptional contributions earned him the title of "Senior Scientific Researcher of the USSR" by the Presidium of the Academy of Sciences of the Soviet Union, Moscow.
Expanding his global influence, Dr. Skiba served as a visiting researcher at esteemed institutions in India from 1988 to 1990. Since 1992, he has been a prominent figure at the Center for Atmospheric Sciences, National Autonomous University of Mexico (UNAM), Mexico City.
