Prof. Cheng-Wei Qiu was appointed Dean’s Chair Professor twice (2017-2020 & 2020-2023) in College of Design and Engineering, NUS. He was Fellow of Optica, SPIE and The Electromagnetics Academy, US. He is well known for his research in structured light and metasurfaces. He has published 460+ peer-reviewed journal papers, including Science(3), Nature(5), Nature Materials(2)/Nature Nanotechnology(7)/Nature Photonics(8)/Nature Electronics(4)/Nature Physics(2), Nature Communications(32), Science Advances(14), Physical Review Letters(21), Nature Reviews Materials(3), Chemical Reviews(4), Advanced Materials(32), IEEE Transactions(16), PNAS(7), Nano Letters(29)/ACS Nano(17), eLight(4). His work has been selected as Top 10 Breakthroughs 2020 by Physics World, and Optics in 2021 by Optica. As an overseas partner, he has been awarded China’s Top 10 Optical Breakthroughs for 4 times (2019, 2020, twice in 2021). He has served as Associate Editor for various journals such as JOSA B, PhotoniX, Photonics Research. Now he serves as Editor-in-Chief for eLight. He also serves in Editorial Advisory Board for Laser and Photonics Reviews, Advanced Optical Materials, and ACS Photonics. He has mentored next generation of academic scientists and industrial entrepreneurs. 26 out of his former phd students and postdoctoral research fellows have been Assistant, Associate and Full Professors, including Distinguished Young Scholars of NSFC (Overseas), Humboldt Scholar, and Nanyang Assistant Professor in Nanyang Technological University. Some of his former phd students have been CTO and CEO of high-tech companies in Singapore and China.

Dr. Qiaoliang Bao received his Ph. D from Department of Physics, Wuhan University (2007). He has everworked as a postdoctoral fellowat Nanyang Technological University (2007-2008) and National University of Singapore (2008-2012). He was appointed as a tenured Associate Professor at Monash University (Australia) upon the award of ARC Future Fellowship. He has authored or co-authored more than 250 refereed journal articles with more than 40,000 total citations and an H-index of 88 (Google Scholar). Dr. Bao was listed as Highly Cited (HiCi) researcher by Clarivate Analytics from 2018 to 2022.He co-founded Nanjing kLIGHT Laser Technology Co. Ltd. and is now a specially appointed professor at USST (University of Shanghai for Science and Technology), China.His research involves the investigation of waveguide-coupled 2D materials and devices, focusing on the effect of confined-space light-matter interactions on the transport of polaritons and the construction of emerging photoniccircuitries forneuromorphic hardware.

Daxiang Cui, obtained his MD and Ph.D. in Fourth Military Medical University in 1998, was a post-doc staff in Max Planck Institute for Metals Research from 2001 to 2004, was a visiting Professor in Waseda University from 2007 to 2008, so far he is a Distinguished Professor at Shanghai Jiaotong University, his research interests include synthesis and biosafety evaluation of nanomaterials, nanoparticles-labeling and nano-effects-based ultrasensitive detection methods and biosensors, structure and function of genes or proteins. Up to date, he has published over 180 papers in international peer-reviewed journals such as Advanced Mater, Nano letters, Biomaterials, Adv. Fun. Mater., Cancer Res., Biosensors & Bioelectronics, etc., and his papers were cited over 3200 times, H-Index is 31. He is also invited to give 25 talks in international conferences, published 8 books, he is editor-in-chief of Nano Biomed Eng.

Theodore Goodson III (b: April 05, 1969) received his BA in liberal arts from Wabash College in 1991 and his Ph.D. from U of Nebraska-Lincoln in 1996. He was a postdoctoral assistant at the University of Chicago and Postdoctoral fellow at Oxford University (physics). He served on the faculty at Wayne State University from 1998 to 2004 and move to the University of Michigan where he is the Richard Barry Bernstein Professor of Chemistry. From 2018 to 2022 Professor Goodson served as the senior scientific advisor at the National Reconnaissance Office in Washington. He is now on the Advisory board for the Office. Professor Goodson is the Chair of the National Academy of Science Committee on Quantum Information Science in Chemistry. He has founded two companies the first on high density capacitors for automotive and medical applications, and another more recently on the use of an entangled photon microscope for biological detection and diagnostics with low light levels. Dr. Goodson’s research centers on the investigation of ultra-fast, nonlinear optical, and quantum optical properties in organic multi-chromophore and metal cluster systems for particular optical and electronic applications in the condensed phase. This has included contributions to the understanding of ultra-fast exciton migration in organic dendrimers and novel molecular aggregates, correlations of ultra-fast dynamics in organic polymers with photovoltaic performance, the nature of ultra-fast electronic processes in in small (magic number) metal clusters, ultra-fast two photon effects for the determination of DNA-drug binding modes, ultra-fast nonlinear optical detection of remote IEDs, ultra-fast processes of the aggregation process in the formation of amyloids, the interaction of organic molecules with nonclassical (entangled) light, the quantum optical response of biological macromolecules. His research has been translated in to technology in the areas of two-photon organic materials for eye and sensor protection, large dielectric and energy storage effects in organic macromolecular materials, the remote detection of energetic (explosive) devices by nonlinear optical methods, quantum optical communications and remote chemical sensing, tissue imaging and photodynamic therapy with small metal clusters.

Mário F. S. Ferreira graduated in Physics from the University of Porto, Portugal, and received the Ph.D. degree in Physics in 1992 from the University of Aveiro, Portugal, where he is now a Professor at the Physics Department. Between 1990 and 1991 he was at the University of Essex, UK, performing experimental work on external cavity semiconductor lasers and nonlinear optical fiber amplifiers. His research interests have been concerned with the modelling and characterization of multi-section semiconductor lasers for coherent systems, quantum well lasers, optical fiber amplifiers and lasers, soliton propagation, polarization and nonlinear effects in optical fibers. M.Sc. Eng. 1981, Ph.D. 1989 from, D.Sc. /habilitation/1997, professor in technical sciences in 2012. Since 1982 he has been an employee of the Institute of Optoelectronics, Military University of Technology(MUT), Warsaw, Poland, since 2013 deputy-director for scientific affairsof the Institute of Optoelectronics.He is full professor at MUT, tutor of applied optics, laser optics, coherent optics, laser beams.Main scientific activities include laser optics design and characterization, laser beam characterization, thermal optics, diode pumped lasers, coherent beam combining. Co-author of above 200 journal papers and conference reports and one handbook (Hirsch index 18, above1000 citations). His scientific and technical activity in last years was focused on laser weapon systems.He has been participating in international programs of EDA (Ad-HELW 2009-2011) and EU-PADR(TALOS 2019-2022) devoted to such topics and has been a leader of main task of Laser System of Directed Energy Weapon Program founded by National Center for Research and Development of Poland since 2014.

Tiancai ZHANGis currently a Cheung Kong Chair Professor of Physics in the State Key Laboratory of Quantum Optics and Quantum Optics Devices, Institute of Opto-Electronics, Shanxi University. He received his bachelor degree from the Department of Physics at Sichuan University in 1988 and PhD from the Institute of Optics at Shanxi University in 1998. As a visiting scholar he worked with P. Grangier in the Institute of Optics(Orsay), CNRS, France,during 1993-1994 and 1999-2000 and as a postdoc he worked with J. H. Kimble at Caltech during 2000-2001. In 2011 he got the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in China. His research interests are in quantum optics and cold atomic physics, especially in the field of single atom manipulation, cavity quantum electrodynamics, quantum state generation and application in quantum metrology. He is the editorial board member of the Acta Optica Sinica and the Journal of Quantum Optics

Prof. Nam Kim received a Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering from Yonsei University, Seoul, South Korea, in 1988. Since 1989, he has been a Professor with the School of Information and Communication Engineering, Chungbuk National University, Cheongju, South Korea. From 1992 to 1993, he was a Visiting Researcher with Dr. Goodman’s Group, Stanford University. In addition, he attended Caltech as a Visiting Professor from 2000 to 2001. His research interests include 3D display and visualization systems, 3D medical imaging systems, 3D image processing and applications based on stereoscopic and light field techniques such as holographic and integral imaging, diffractive optics, and optical security systems.

Dr. Eduardo F. Fernández obtained his PhD at the University of Santiago de Compostela (Spain) in 2012 in the field on concentrator photovoltaics and multi- junction solar cells. Nowadays, he is head of the Advances in Photovoltaic Technology research group (AdPVTech; https://adpvtech.ujaen.es/en/home/) at the University of Jaén (Spain). He has more than 10 years of experience in the field of photovoltaics working in several prestigious institutes, universities and private companies. Dr. Fernández has been involved and lead more than 25 research projects, published over 120 papers indexed in ISI JCR, and presented +100 contributions in the most relevant international conferences and workshops. Dr. Fernández is also member of +10 academic and scientific societies, and co-inventor of several patents.

H. Siampour is currently a Lecturer in the School of Mathematics and Physics at Queen's University Belfast, where his research primarily focuses on exploring the interplay between nanophotonics and quantum optics. Previously, he worked as a Postdoctoral Research Associate at the University of Cambridge, where he contributed to the development of a quantum simulation platform using interacting spins in diamond. Prior to that, he served as a Postdoc at the University of Sheffield, working on the development of a semiconductor nanophotonic platform for directional spin-photon coupling. Dr. Siampour received his PhD degree in Nano-optics from the University of Southern Denmark, with his thesis titled "A Nanophotonic Platform for Quantum Optical Integrated Circuits." During his doctoral studies, he conducted research as a Visiting Researcher at the Institute for Quantum Optics, Ulm University, where he investigated GeV centers in nanodiamonds coupled to plasmonic waveguides

Chonlatee Photong had been a development engineer at Sony Device Technology (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Prathum Thani, for 3 years (2002-2004) and a maintenance engineer at Seagate Technology (Thailand), Nakorn Ratchasima, for 2 years (2005-2006). He received his master’s degree of Power Electronics and Drives in 2007 and his doctoral degree in Electrical and Electronic Engineering in 2013 from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom. After his doctoral graduation, he has started working as a lecturer in Electrical and Computer Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Mahasarakham University,Thailand, and experienced working as an editor-in-chief of Mahasarakham International Journal of Engineering Technology and Engineering Access since 2014, a co-editor-in-chief of Community University Engagement Journal since 2022. He had been an assistant to the President for Public Relation and International Affairs at MahasarakhamUniversity during 2015-2018. He is currently the Deputy Dean for Administration, Graduate School, Mahasarakham University. He is currently the head of the Electric Automotive and Energy Technology Research Unit.His research expertise is power electronics for renewable energy and electric motor drives. He has more than 60 published research works, 15 research funds and several awards covering the innovation and research studies on a current source inverter for solar and renewable energy conversion and generation, as well as, motor control, drives and applications. Dr. Monica Trejo Durán is a distinguished researcher and educator affiliated to the University of Guanajuato since 1998. She holds the esteemed position of Full Professor with a PRODEP (Program for the Development of Professional Teachers) Profile and is also recognized as a Level II member of the National Researchers System (SNI). Her academic contributions are deeply rooted in the Department of Multidisciplinary Studies within the Division of Engineering at the Campus Irapuato-Salamanca, University of Guanajuato. In June 2005, Dr. Trejo earned her Doctorate degree from the Institute of Materials Research at UNAM, where she specialized in Electronic Materials and their characterization through diverse techniques. Throughout her career, Dr. Trejo's research and expertise have been acknowledged by several prestigious scientific journals. She serves as a reviewer for renowned publications such as JML, OE, OM, RIO, JEOS, AU, J. Mater Chi. B, Opt comm, Mat. Lett., Chem., NANOSO, Phys. B cond. Her current research endeavors encompass several exciting areas, including the synthesis and characterization of Optoelectronic Materials, both experimental and theoretical aspects of Nonlinear Optics, Fiber Optic Sensors, and Optical Characterization of Fruits. Dr. Trejo's expertise extends to the synthesis of hybrid organic-inorganic materials, which she characterizes using an array of techniques such as FTIR, UV-Vis, RMN, DSC, X-rays, AFM, TEM, Raman, TGA, linear, and nonlinear optics (z-scan), as well as optical sensors. Moreover, she is involved in first-principles theoretical calculations for studying non-linear optical properties. Xianguang Yang received his Bachelor’s degree in Optics from Sun Yat-Sen University (SYSU) in 2012, and completed his Doctorate in Optical Engineering with the theoretical and experimental combination of nanowire and nanoparticle photonics at the State Key Laboratory of Optoelectronic Materials and Technologies affiliated with SYSU in 2016 under the guidance of Prof. Baojun Li (Changjiang Scholar). He received National Postgraduate Scholarship in 2016. He became an Assistant Professor of the Institute of Nanophotonics at the Jinan University in 2016 and became an Assistant to the Dean since 2018, then promoted to Associate Professor in 2019. He has mentored 9 MS students. His main research interests include photonics, plasmonics, nano-optics, detectors, optoelectronics and optothermal mechanisms, which were supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC). Dr. Yang has published 3 Book chapters, and 30 peer-reviewed journal publications, such as Advanced Materials, Nano Letters, ACS Nano, Advanced Optical Materials, Nanophotonics, Nanoscale, ACS Photonics, and etc. He has been an Editorial Board Member of Optics in 2018 and to be a member for RSC Advances Reviewer Panel since 2020. In 2021, he has been appointed as guest editor of Frontiers in Materials (IF 3.5), managing the research topic of Photo-Sensitive Materials and Devices for Nanophotonics, Optoelectronics and Photoelectrocatalysis. He is a member of American Chemical Society (ACS), Optical Society of America (OSA), Chinese Optical Society (COS) and Chinese Society for Optical Engineering (CSOE).

Yahia CHERGUI is an assistant Professor in Electrical & Electronics Engineering Institute, Boumerdes Algeria. He has completed his PhD from Badji Mokhtar University in Annaba, Algeria. He did all his PhD work in Cardiff University in UK. His research field is Physics(condensed matter, and soft matter simulation by molecular dynamics). He has many published articles and international conferences. He has been serving as a referee with condensed matter journal (IOP), Energy journal (Elsevier), and American Journal of Modern Physics

Professor Chu received his Ph.D. from the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at National Tsing-Hua University in 2004. Then, he joined the University of California, Berkeley, as a postdoc. In 2008, he acquired an assistant professorship in the Department of Materials Science & Engineering at National Chiao Tung University. He was promoted to associate professor in 2015 and then to professor in 2018. In 2019, he was appointed as a distinguished professor. Since 2013, he has had an adjunct position at the Institute of Physics, Academia Sinica. In 2014 he started an adjunct position in the Department of Electrophysics at National Chiao Tung University. From 2016 to 2018, he had an adjunct appointment at Material and Chemical Research Laboratories, Industrial Technology Research Institute, and the International College of Semiconductor Technology at National Chiao Tung University. In 2019, he was appointed associate editor with ACS Applied Electronic Materials. In 2022, he returned to National Tsing Hua University as a professor. In 2022 summer, he was promoted to a distinguished professor and appointed as the director of the Center for Nanotechnology, Materials Science, and Microsystems. His research focuses on complex functional oxides and strongly correlated electron systems. He has extensive experience using advanced characterization techniques to understand and manipulate functional oxide heterostructures, nanostructures, and interfaces. He aims to create a pathway to use high-quality oxide heteroepitaxy for soft transparent technology. He is a pioneer with the most published in this research direction. He has published 360+ papers (Web of Science: 22000+ citations, h-index=73; Google Scholar: 32000+ citations, h-index=85) in academic journals.
