Stefan Glück, MD, PhD, FRCPC is a medical oncologist (fully licensed in the state of FL) and is currently a freelance consultant for oncology hematology immunology and biotech companies. He was V.P. Global Medical Affairs, at Celgene Corporation from October 2014 until December 2019. He oversaw oncology activities worldwide, as well as the Immune Oncology program in solid tumors and hematology. He contributed to activities of Celgene around Early Assets and was part of the very successful BD team identifying assets for collaboration, joint venture and acquisition. In early 2020, after Celgene was acquired by BMS, and when the pandemic hit, he joined remotely REGENERON as VP and Franchise Head, Global Medical Affairs, Oncology and Hematology until July 2021. During this time at GMA, he built a team of 27 colleagues virtually and actually never met anyone in person. Between September 2021 and March 2022 he served as SVP Med Affairs at Veru Inc. leading the breast cancer program with 2 compounds. At present, his focus is on helping small companies to get their innovative products to patients, hopefully prolonging, improving their lives and potentially lead the efforts to cures of cancer for many. He previously served as a Sylvester Professor and practicing Medical Oncologist - Hematologist in the Department of Medicine at Miller School of Medicine, University of Miami, Florida until September 2014. From 2003–2008, he was the Clinical Director of the Braman Family Breast Cancer Institute at UM. His clinical practise focused on patients with breast cancer and during his hospital service, all malignant diseases including hematology and solid tumors. He enjoyed to teach fellows, residents, and medical MD/PhD students in hematology and oncology, bedside and in class courses. He has authored or co-authored over 275 articles. In addition, Dr Glück has written or co-written several book chapters, numerous abstracts and has presented more than 500 papers at national and international meetings. Additionally, he was very active with the following companies as an independent scientific and medical advisor for oncology efforts, including Agendia, Amgen, GSK, Eisai, Eli Lilly, Pfizer, Novartis, Roche/Genentech.

Dr. Xi Yang is a Tenured Immunology and Medical Microbiology Professor at the University of Manitoba, Canada. He served as the Head of the Department of Immunology at the University of Manitoba (2013-2019) and was the Canada Research Chair in Infection and Immunity. The major research goal of his research team is to investigate the mechanisms of pathogenesis of intracellular bacterial infections, especially chlamydial and mycobacterial diseases and allergy/asthma, and to develop new strategies to prevent and treat these diseases, particularly for vaccine development. His research program is composed of three major themes. The first theme investigates the relationship between microbial infections and allergy/asthma, and the second theme investigates the protective immunity and pathological reactions induced by chlamydial infections. The third theme is to develop human vaccines against chlamydial infections and allergic diseases. He has been serving on numerous national and international grant review panels and scientific journal editorial boards. He has published more than 145 peer-reviewed research papers in the area of immunology and medicine.

Kenny Leo De Meirleir, born on January 19th, 1952, holds an impressive academic background, including a Doctor of Medicine, Surgery, and Obstetrics (M.D.) obtained in 1977, followed by a Master's degree in Internal Medicine in 1981, and a Doctorate (PhD) in Physiology achieved in 1985. Additionally, he pursued further studies at Memphis State University in 1969-1970 for Pre-Med, obtained ECFMG certification in 1980, and specialized in Internal Medicine, Sports Medicine, Cardiology and Cardiac Rehabilitation, and Biotechnology Techniques throughout his career. With an extensive professional journey, he served as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine from 1980 to 1985, followed by a tenure as a Full Professor of Physiology and Medicine from 1985 to 2017. Currently, he holds the esteemed position of Professor Emeritus and serves as the Medical Director at Himmunitas vzw in Belgium. In his clinical practice, Dr. De Meirleir dedicates three days a week to diagnosing and treating patients with unexplained chronic conditions. Additionally, he served as the Director of Himmunitas vzw since 2006 and as the Medical Director of the Whittemore Peterson Institute at the University of Nevada, Reno, USA, from 2013 to 2023.

Dr. Cristian Segura-Cerda has worked in preclinical evaluation of vaccines against tuberculosis. In 2020, he received his Ph.D. grade in the University of Guadalajara, México, with the study of the efficacy of the vaccine candidate BCGDBCG1419c in comorbid mice with tuberculosis and diabetes. Afterwards he has developed his career at the National Institute of Medical Sciences and Nutrition of México and CIATEJ México, where has continued to study immunological aspects related to efficacy of vaccines and treatments against tuberculosis.

Ljudmila Stojanovich received her Ph.D. in Medicine, with the thesis “Neuropsychiatric manifestations in patients with Systemic Lupus Erythematosus” in 1999. Dr. Stojanovich’s research focuses on Systemic Lupus Erythematosus, Antiphospholipid Syndrome, and Vaccination in patients with Autoimmune Rheumatic diseases. She is an author of three monographs and of about 250 articles on various aspects of Autoimmune Rheumatic disorders, published in international and domestic journals and in conference proceedings. Dr. Ioannidis studied medicine at the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and graduated in 2005. He received his MSC in “Medical Research Methodology” in 2008 from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and in “Surgery of Liver, Biliary Tree, and Pancreas” from the Democritus University of Thrace in 2016. He received his Ph.D. degree in 2014 from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for his thesis “The effect of combined administration of omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids in ulcerative colitis. An experimental study in rats.” He is a General Surgeon with a special interest in laparoscopic surgery and surgical oncology and also in surgical infections, acute care surgery, nutrition, and ERAS. He has received fellowships for EAES, ESSO, EPC, ESCP, and ACS and has published more than 130 articles with more than 3000 citations

Dr. Mestecky received his M.D. from Charles University, Prague, Czech Republic and his Ph.D. in immunology from the Academy of Sciences of the Czech Republic. After postgraduate fellowship in the Department of Immunology, Institute of Microbiology, Czechoslovak Academy of Sciences, Prague, he came to UAB as a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Microbiology in 1967 and joined the Department of Microbiology faculty in 1969. Additional training include a sabbatical at Rockefeller University, New York, in Henry Kunkel’s laboratory and Visiting Professor at Nihon University, Tokyo, in Dr. I. Moro’s laboratory. Dr. Mestecky has a secondary appointment in the Department of Medicine. Dr. Mestecky’s laboratory studies the defense systems of the respiratory, intestinal and genital tracts, sites of entry for almost all infectious agents. He and his colleagues have characterized the structural and functional uniqueness of antibodies present in external secretions, described key biological features of the cells engaged in the production of these antibodies, and determined vaccination routes effective for the induction of immune responses in mucosal tissues. His laboratory provided evidence in humans for the existence of the common mucosal immune system in which vaccination at one site (e.g., via ingestion) induces an immune response at remote sites, such as tear, salivary, lactating mammary glands, and respiratory tract secretions. Current studies focus on the mucosal immune system of the human genital tract, which displays considerable degree of independence from other mucosal sites, showing that local infection or immunization with genital tract pathogens, including gonococcus, human papilloma virus, and HIV-1 induce minimal protective responses. Results of these studies have had an important impact on the design and administration of novel vaccines suitable for inexpensive and efficient mass immunization. Dr. Mestecky’s laboratory is actively investigating the pathogenesis of human autoimmune diseases. For the first time, they have shown that an immune response to the principal protein of cartilage (collagen Type II) is induced in rheumatoid arthritis. Dr. Mestecky’s laboratory is currently studying the molecular basis for the development of IgA nephropathy, a common kidney disease that his group has shown to be an autoimmune disease.

Dr. Evangelia Michail Michailidou is a distinguished Anaesthesiologist-Intensivist currently serving at Apollonion Private Hospital in Nicosia, Cyprus since October 2023. Prior to this role, Evangelia Michail Michailidou held the position of Director of ICU at the General Hospital of Agrinio from January 2023 to September 2023. With a solid professional background, Evangelia Michail Michailidou has been a Permanent Consultant Anaesthesiologist-Intensivist at General Hospital Hippokratio of Thessaloniki, Greece, from May 2017 to December 2023. Her extensive experience spans 13 years as an Anaesthesiologist in the same institution. Committed to medical education, Evangelia Michail Michailidou served as a Trainer and Examiner in surgical nursing specialties in Northern Greece from May 2017 to December 2022. Furthermore, she contributed as a Medical Doctor Volunteer, specializing in pain management, with Doctors of the World Greece from August 2016 to December 2023. A valuable member of the rapid response emergency team at G.H. Hippokratio, Evangelia Michail Michailidou has demonstrated expertise in various medical domains. Her proficiency as an Anaesthesiologist includes handling Obstetric & Gynecological cases, Liver and Kidney Transplantations, General Surgeries, Vascular Surgeries, Neurosurgeries, and Emergency Medical Technician roles. Dr. Kalliopi Megari is an experienced psychologist working in the hospital & health care industry. She is a lecturer at University of Western Macedonia in Greece. Skilled in Clinical Neuropsychology, Clinical Research and Learning Disabilities. Graduated from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and attended further education from University of Macedonia, in people with special needs and disabilities. She holds undergraduate degrees in Nursing and Psychology, as well as a Master’s and a PhD in Neuropsychology from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. She has many years of experience working with chronic disease patients as well with people with disabilities. Her work has earned her many prestigious international awards. She has given lectures at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and University of Warsaw. She is postdoctoral researcher and has published more than 10 research articles in journals. She is the Global Engagement Representative of International Neuropsychological Society and member of the Ethics Committee of Hellenic Neuropsychological Society.

Dr. Kai-Fu Tang is a professor at the Key Laboratory of Molecular Biology on Infectious Diseases, Ministry of Education, Chongqing Medical University. He was the first person to report the involvement of RNAi machinery in DNA damage repair. In 2008, he reported that knockdown of Dicer, a key component of the RNA interference pathway, induced DNA damage (Tang et al, J Cell Biol, 2008). This finding opened up a new research direction in the RNAi field. Recently, Dr. Tang's group identified a class of ∼20–40 bp small cytosolic dsDNA (scDNA) molecules. Functional analysis revealed that scDNA prevents cGAS activation by competing with long dsDNA for binding to cGAS and by inducing autophagic degradation of long dsDNA and STING (Liu et al, Cell Rep, 2023). Dr. Tang has published more than 30 papers in international journals such as J Cell Biol, Genome Biol, Nucleic Acids Res, Oncogene, Cell Rep, Theranostics, Pharmacol Res, Cell Death Dis, Carcinogenesis, and J Biol Chem.

Antonio Steardo specialized in Pharmacology and graduated in Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Chemistry. He has now gained years of experience since 2002 in the pharmaceutical products trade sector as he could have been behind the counter of the Steardo pharmacy from an early age. Already in elementary school, his curiosity for chemistry manifests itself during his games and continues lectures at the department of science at the University of Salerno. Therefore, during the cycle of studies, he prefers biochemistry and biochemistry of drug action, graduating in July 2007 with a thesis on the functioning of the endocannabinoid system on Alzheimer’s disease in pharmacology. Following the beginning of his pharmaceutical chemistry studies, he stopped for a competition as a postgraduate in pharmacology at the University of Rome La Sapienza in July 2014. Expecting constant improvement as a professional update, he enrolled in the continuing professional training department at the University of Oxford to follow courses in Experimental and Translation Therapy and Medical Research. His desire to improve leads him to attend international conferences and seminars.

Dr. Ana Catalina Herrera D is a medical doctor with specialized training in epidemiology and internal medicine. She holds a master's degree in Infectious Diseases and HIV. Currently, she serves as a researcher at Hospital Military Central and Grupo SURA in Bogotá, Colombia, affiliated with Universidad de la Sabana and Universidad del Rosario. Dr. Herrera has extensive clinical experience, particularly in managing patients with a variety of infectious diseases such as HIV, STDs, tropical diseases, bacterial infections, and amongst others.

Dr. Cheepsattayakorn graduated Doctor of Medicine from Chiang Mai Medical School, Chiang Mai University, Chiang Mai, Thailand in 1986. He then further had trained in Internal Medicine and Pulmonology at Chiang Mai University Medical School, Thailand. He certified numerous Fellowships from the Royal Colleges of Physicians of London, Edinburgh and Thailand, Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Glasgow, American Colleges of Physicians, and of Chest Physicians. He has very high experience in the fields of Pulmonary Diseases and Tuberculosis including Infectious Diseases. He had been served a Director of the 10th Zonal Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand for a long time and presently serve as Consultant in Respiratory Medicine (Pulmonologist) at the 10th Zonal Tuberculosis and Chest Diseases Center, Chiang Mai, Thailand; Deputy Director and a Senior Expert of the 10th Office of Disease Prevention and Control, Chiang Mai, Thailand, Department of Disease Control, Thailand.

Violeta Valcheva is an Associate Professor in The Stephan Angel off Institute of Microbiology (SAIM), Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, Sofia, Bulgaria. In 2009 she received her Ph.D. and did the first comprehensive study of molecular characterization and drug resistance of Mycobacterium tuberculosis strains in Bulgaria. The main research topics of her work are the molecular epidemiology, phylogeny and evolution of mycobacteria, bioinformatics, bacterial pathogenesis and virulence; drug development, pharmacokinetics, anti-TB chemotherapy. She gained experience and high qualifications in the international institutions (France, Russia, China, Japan) with visible results (projects, publications, establishing new innovations and collaborations). She was a secretary of the Microbiology department in the Bulgarian Union of Scientists and responsible for the public relations for the SAIM, which belongs to the Institute Pasteur Network.

Huang Wei Ling, born in Taiwan, raised and graduated in medicine in Brazil, specialist in infectious and parasitic diseases, a General Practitioner and Parenteral and Enteral Medical Nutrition Therapist. Once in charge of the Hospital Infection Control Service of the City of Franca’s General Hospital, she was responsible for the control of all prescribed antimicrobial medication and received an award for the best paper presented at the Brazilian Hospital Infection Control Congress in 1998. Since 1997, she has been presenting her work worldwide, working with the approach and treatment of all diseases of all systems of the human body in a holistic way, with treatment guided through the teachings of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Hippocrates.

Professor Mohammed Imad A. Mustafa Mahmud is a distinguished faculty member in the Faculty of Medicine at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM) Kuantan Campus, located in 25200 Kuantan, Pahang. Dr. Mahmud earned his Doctor of Philosophy in Microbiology-Virology from the University of Sheffield Medical School in Sheffield, U.K., in 1979. He holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MB,ChB) from the University of Baghdad, Iraq, obtained in 1970. His academic journey includes the following key roles and responsibilities: Professor since 18 July 2013, continuing to the present. Head of the Basic Medical Sciences Department at IIUM from 1 January 2018 to 31 July 2021. As an academic mentor, Dr. Mahmud has supervised a notable number of postgraduate students, including 5 Ph.D. students, 27 Master's students, and 4 Postgraduate High Diploma candidates. His involvement in research is reflected in 22 projects funded by both university and government sources. Dr. Mahmud has contributed significantly to academia, with 49 research articles and 1 book chapter to his name. His recent research interest revolves around immune predictors of premature labor and preterm delivery.

Prof. Dr. Husham Bayazed is a consultant immunoologist in the Kurdistan Region of Iraq. He is interested in clinical immunology and autoimmunity and is trained in asthma and allergic diseases. He has published more than 25 papers in reputed international journals in the United States, Europe, the EMHJ of the WHO, etc. He has been serving as a scientific reviewer for many local and international medical journals, in addition to being a Fellow of the International Society of Chemotherapy, Infection, and Cancer (ISC). Moreover, I am an Immunology Advisory Board Member of EUROMDnet, a member of the World Stroke Organization, a member of Metabolomics (USA), and a member of the American Association of Science and Technology.

Dr. Xiao Zhang has been engaged in the research of prophylactic vaccine and neutralizing antibody against virus. He also participated in the research and development of Hepatitis E vaccine and HPV bivalent vaccine that has been approved in China. At present, he mainly focuses on the research and development of prophylactic vaccine against EBV, and has made a series of innovative work in vaccine target, neutralizing antibody, adjuvants, animal models and virus structure research. He has published over 40 SCI papers in journals such as PNAS, Cell Res, Nat Commun, Trends Microbiol, Nano Lett, Antiviral Res, and so on. He also applied for 13 patents of which 6 have been approved and these patents are all associated with the vaccine and antibodies.

Vladimir Jurisic currently works at the Faculty of Medical Sciences, University of Kragujevac. Vladimir does research in Clinical Immunology, Oncology, Hematology and Gastroenterology. Their current project is 'The molecular, immunological and biochemical tumor diagnosis.

Evelyn Nansubuga is a Ugandan laboratory Technologist working with Infectious Diseases Research Collaboration (IDRC) for 3 years now. The organization specializes in mainly malaria research. Evelyn has specialized in Immunology working on isolation of Peripheral Blood Mononuclear Cells (PBMCs), red blood cells and plasma. She has also experience in flow cytometry analysis of cells. Evelyn holds a bachelor's degree in biomedical laboratory technology from Makerere University and is currently pursuing a master's degree in Immunology and Clinical Microbiology from the same university. She has extensive research experience in particularly HIV/AIDS, worm infections, Malaria and amongst others. She has worked with various research institutes to mention but a few; Uganda Virus Research Institute / Medical Research Centre(UVRI-MRC) , Joint Clinical Research Centre(JCRC) and UVRI-IAVI( International AIDS Vaccine Initiative).

Dr. Rahul Hajare studied Pharmaceutical Chemistry at the Amravati University, India and graduated as B.Pharm in 2002. He then joined the research group of Institute of Pharmaceutical Research and Education and Quality Assurance, Nagpur University. He received his PhD degree in 2012 at the Vinayaka Mission University. After two year postdoctoral fellowship supervised by Renowned and Scientist Respected Dr. Ramesh Paranjape at the National AIDS Research Institute ICMR Pune India. He obtained the position of an Associate Professor at the G H Raisoni University Amravati GHRU.He has published more than 70 research articles in SCI(E) journals.).Dr. Rahul Hajare is awarded by Scholar Hindu University of America.

Dr. Stephenie Chinwe A. Alaribe is a Bio and Pharmaceutical Chemist in the Department of Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Faculty of Pharmacy, University of Lagos, Nigeria. Her teaching and research interests span in the area of Medicinal & Natural Product Chemistry; Molecular Computational studies and Bio-imaging tools for Drug Design; Quality Analysis of Drugs, Drug related and Herbal Products. Stephenie, heads a Molecular Networking (MN) research group which uses Computational and Molecular simulation smart tools to explore secondary metabolites in Natural, Herbal Products and as possibly drug targets. The research group attempts to utilize analytical, computational and statistical tools to explore new compounds in green and inexhaustible West – African flora. Stephenie, is an active researcher currently focusing on discovering and developing Bio-molecules with specific targets for selected cancer cells. She is also a Co- Principal Investigator on studies involving Malaria right from her Ph.D. days. Stephenie, is a certified Public Analyst, involved as a team in analyzing Pharmaceuticals, drugs and drug related products. She has participated with different teams on some funded researches including; Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND) , World Bank Grant for African Centre for Excellence, Drug Research, Herbal Medicine Development and Regulatory Science – ACEDHARS and also in collaboration with researchers in the University Paris-Saclay, France and INCLIVA, , Research Fellow, INCLIVA, Oncology Unit, Instituto de Investigation, Department of Pathology, University of Valencia, Spain,2022. Dr Alaribe is also a reviewer of manuscripts to several journal bodies including the reputable Journal of Ethnopharmacology and Editorial Board Member; Journal of Medicinal Plants for Economic Development(JOMPED). She currently has over 32 publications in peer –reviewed International and National Journals. She has also featured in several conference proceedings, orally and in Posters. My research work mainly focuses on the construction and function of DNA nanomachines, which are cutting-edge and challenging topics. I designed and constructed unique DNA motifs using a short circular DNA nanotechnology technique and functionalized these probes with fluorophores, gold nanoparticles, small molecular drugs, and peptide ligands. To achieve plasmon resonance effects, I achieved Nano-specific precision in organizing plasmonic nanoparticles on the Nano DNA frameworks. My work on the DNA nanomachines provided an efficient fluorescence resonance energy transfer mechanism that realizes the bio-imaging, detection of biological events, and functions of the biomolecules. I have also been working on multilayered hybrid magnetic nanoparticles for applications in nanomedicine for the last three years.

Satyendra Singh is versatile and dedicated researcher, pursuing a Ph.D. in Biochemistry at the Central University of Rajasthan, India. Satyendra has over 2 years of experience as a PhD researcher and has exhibited great cooperation abilities and a pleasant communication style that supports effective collaborations. He is noted for his ambition, excellent work ethic, and organizational skills, which enable him to thrive in dynamic research situations. His research generally focuses on infectious diseases, with a particular emphasis on Visceral leishmaniasis drug development. He is also focusing on developing therapies and vaccines for COVID-19 and other viral and infectious diseases. His contributions to the subject are evident in his remarkable publication record, which includes 11 research publications with a cumulative impact factor of about 48.173 and over 164 citations. Notably, Satyendra has published in prestigious scientific journals, proving the value and influence of his work. Satyendra actively participates in scientific conferences and seminars, in addition to his research achievements. He has given oral presentations at both national and international conferences, garnering recognition and awards for his efforts. Financial support from prestigious organizations has permitted his participation in scientific training programs and conferences, allowing him to stay current on the newest achievements in his area. Satyendra has a comprehensive skill set that includes docking studies, in-silico multi-epitope vaccine design, molecular dynamics simulation, and numerous laboratory techniques such as bacterial culture handling, nucleic acid extraction, PCR, and electrophoresis. His ability to use these approaches contributes to his effectiveness as a researcher. I hold a BSc Degree in Chemistry and Microbiology from the Faculty of Science at Menoufia University, Egypt. Additionally, I have completed a Diploma in Analytical Biochemistry from the same institution. My professional journey began as a Medical Analysis Chemist at Al-Borg Laboratories in Egypt. Building upon this experience, I assumed the role of Director and Medical Analysis Specialist at Tiba Laboratories for Medical Analysis, located in Sidi Salem, Kafr El-Sheikh, Egypt. Expanding my expertise further, I served as a Chemist at the Central Laboratory for Drinking Water and Sanitation Company in Sidi Salem, Kafr El-Sheikh, Egypt. Subsequently, I was appointed as the Director of the Al-Haddadi plant for drinking water purification, located in Sidi Salem, Kafr El-Sheikh, Egypt. Continuing my academic pursuits, I successfully completed an MSc Degree in Microbiology from the Faculty of Science at Menoufia University, Egypt. Additionally, I have contributed to the scientific community as an international research publisher, having published works in esteemed scientific journals in Asia, such as the International Journal of Alternative Fuels and Energy, as well as in Europe through MDPI. Throughout my academic and professional journey, I have gained valuable knowledge and expertise in the fields of chemistry, microbiology, analytical biochemistry, medical analysis, and drinking water purification.

Dr. S M Abdullah Al Mamun completed his MBBS from Dhaka Medical College at Dhaka, Bangladesh followed by MCPS in Internal Medicine from Bangladesh college of physician & Surgeon ( BCPS) and MD in Chest Diseases from National Institute of Chest Disease (NIDCH) He joined Bangladesh Health Service in 1997 after passing BCS examination. From 2002 till 2009 he worked as a Registrar of respiratory medicine at NIDCH and from 2009 till 2013 he served as an Assistant Professor, Respiratory Medicine at Sher-e-Bangla Medical College, Barisal. He joined Apollo Hospital Dhaka ( JCI accredited ) on September 2013 as Consultant – Respiratory Medicine and was promoted to Senior Consultant in 2017. He got FCCP from the American College of Chest Physicians in 2006 and FRCP from Royal College of Edinburg on 2022. He received the APSR Award in 2009. He went for a short Fellowship in Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine at National University Hospital, Singapore. Dr. Mamun was a faculty in different Chest Congresses of the American College of Chest Physicians. He is currently the Global Governor of ACCP from Bangladesh. In 2012, he completed Board Review Course of the ACCP from Arizona, USA. He also attended two training programs in Vienna and Barcelona. Dr. Mamun is an expert in Fibro Optic Bronchoscopy and Lung Function Test, and his research focus was on Bronchial Asthma. He has performed more than 6,000 Fibrotic Bronchoscopies in the last 15 years at home and abroad. Dr. S M Abdullah Al Mamun has numerous publications in various national and international journals. One of his book on Bronchial Asthma has been published from Lap Lambert Publisher of Germany. Prior to joining Evercare Hospital Dhaka, Dr. S M Abdullah Al Mamun was working at Square Hospital, Dhaka as Senior Consultant & Coordinator in the Department of Respiratory Medicine. He was recently elected as an Honorary EC Member of the Council of Global Governor Committee of the ACCP for the session (2022-2023). He is a core member of the COPD assembly of the Asia Pacific Society of Respirology and an active member of the European Respiratory Society Airway Network. During the Covid-19 epidemic, six of his Covid-19 research papers were published in journals. He is renowned for the treatment and research of Post-Covid Lung Fibrosis. He has been regularly attending awareness programs on Covid-19 on various TV channels and social media platforms in Bangladesh.

Arnaud Machelart completed a master's degree in molecular and cellular biology at the University of Namur in Belgium. In 2012, I obtained a regional grant (FRIA-FNRS) to complete a PhD at the University of Namur during which he investigated the host response during B. melitensis infection and its deregulation during co-pathology (allergic asthma or trypanosomiasis). In 2016, I joined Priscille Brodin's team at the CIIL (Pasteur Institute of Lille) for a post-doc. Thanks to the help of the team members, the expertise of many collaborators and the financial support (FRM, JPI-AMR, ITN-Cyclonhit), I developed a multidisciplinary expertise that allowed him to set up an innovative research project for which he was recruited at Inserm in 2020. Through his research project, he wants to develop a method that will improve the treatment of tuberculosis, a pulmonary bacterial infection that kills 1.5 million people every year. The current treatment to cure the disease is an oral multi-antibiotic therapy that can last up to 2 years and is associated with various problems of bioavailability, toxicity and effectiveness. In view of the difficulties encountered in bringing new antibacterial molecules to the market, he proposes to use nanotechnologies to locally administer an optimal combination of antibiotics using a spray.

Syamal Roy's journey in the field of Immunology commenced in 1983 at the University of Calcutta, India. Following this, he embarked on a significant academic pursuit, serving as a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology from 1984 to 1989. Subsequently, he contributed immensely to research and development as a Scientist at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Biology in Kolkata, India, during the period of 1990 to 2017. Recognizing his exceptional contributions, he was honored with the position of Emeritus Scientist at the same institution in 2019, a position he continues to hold with distinction to the present day.

Dr. Sandhya Borse is working as Associate Professor at Sandip University’s School of Pharmaceutical Sciences, Nashik, Maharashtra, India. Dr. Sandhya Borse studied M. Pharm (Pharmaceutical chemistry) from NDMVP College of Pharmacy, SPPU and received her PhD from JJT University. She has qualified GATE (96%) organized by IIT in 2006. With the 13 years of academic and research experience, currently she is supervisor for PhD students and also supervised many masters’ students. Dr. Sandhya Borse delivered guest lectures at an international level. She has 2-patents registered by Gov. of India and 1-patent under evaluation, 6-book chapters, and more than 40 publications in SCI journals.

Dr. Chinnarajan Ravindran interest on microbiology were initiated during doctoral studies in University of Madras, India, and continued understanding fungal genetics (in Centre for cellular and Molecular biology, Hyderabad, India) and Cellular immunology (in Academia Sinica, Taiwan, and School of Medicine, Microbiology and Immunology dept., University of Maryland, Baltimore, USA). He also collaborated with the University of Azores, Portugal, for the study on bacteria from hydrothermal regions. He continues his research in CSIR-National Institute of Oceanography, Goa, India on Microbial pathogenesis and host-pathogen interactions, and published various national and international peer reviewed research articles.
