Prof. Dr. Anton Hartmann studied biochemistry(Dipl. biochem.) at University of Tuebingen, Germany,and gothis doctoral degree at the Institute of Microbiology in 1979. He was assistant professor at University of Bayreuth (genetic department), than postdoc at the Department of Biochemistry, University of Wisconsin, Madison, USA, in Prof. R.H. Burris‘ laboratory on regulation of nitrogen fixation in Azospirillum. Back in Bayreuth, he joined the microbial department and got the university teaching degree (Habilitation) in 1989. In 1989 he joined Helmholtz Zentrum Munich (GSF-Munich), Institute of Soil Ecology, where he was deputy director and leader of there search group „Molecular microbial ecology of rhizosphere bacteria“. Since 1990 he was Privatdozent andlaterapl. Professor for Soil Microbiology and Microbe-Plant-Interactions at Ludwig-Maximilian-University (LMU) Munich.In 2002 he became head of the Research Unit „Rhizosphere Biology“, and later of the independant Research Unit „Microbe-Host Interactions“ at Helmholtz Zentrum Munich.Dr. Hartmann´s research applied since 40 years molecular microbial ecology approaches and studied biological nitrogen fixation of root associated bacteria, especially on Azospirillumspp.. Furthermore, his group and research associates identified 12 new species of diazotrophic bacteria associated with diverse cropplants. In the last 20 years he focused on effects of quorum sensingsignals of N-acyl-homo serinel act ones (AHL) type of root associated Gram-negative bacteria on plants. In 2007, he and his research associates received the Schrödinger Research Award“ of the german science board. Dr. Hartmann published 186 research publications and 57 contributions tobooks. He organized several national and international research conferences, for example the first International „Rhizosphere Conference“ in Munich in 2004, commemorating the 100th anniversary of the Munich Professor Hiltner´sdefinition of the,Rhizosphere“. AMRANE Abdeltif (55 years old) Professor – Exceptional class, UMR CNRS 6226 ISCR, University of Rennes 1. Prof. Evgen Prokhorov received his PhD degree from Odessa State University (Ukraine) in 1979. In 1990, he was promoted to Heard of Department at Institute of Mechanic of Ukraine Academy of Science. Since 1998 he works at the Center for Research and Advanced Studies of the National Polytechnic Institute (Mexico) as research Professor at Material Science Department. The current focus of his research is on nanocomposites comprising polymers with conductivity and dielectric inorganic nanoparticles, characterization their structure and electrical properties. Besides, he is interested in the application of nanocomposites for biomedical applications. Marco Patruno is an Associate Professor at the Department of Comparative Biomedicine and Food Science, School of Agricultural Sciences and Veterinary Medicine, University of Padova, Italy. Prof. Patruno teaches Veterinary Histology, Embryology and Anatomy and his research interests are related to regenerative processes, muscle development and the potential of adult stem cells in the veterinary field. He is a member of the Doctorate School in Veterinary School and supervisor of Ph.D students (national and international). Prof. Patruno obtained the degree in Animal Science (with full marks) in 1995, at the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, University of Milano, Italy. The research group led by Prof. Patruno has characterized adult stem cells from blood of the horse and adipose tissue of the dog and showed that cryopreservation does not modify their “stemness” features; recent studies focus on evaluating the regenerative potential of stem cells for damaged skin and injured tendons, carrying out in vitro and in vivo research. The same research group furnishes a service for Veterinarians named “Stem Cell Services” dedicated to the analysis and cryopreservation of stem cells from several animals. Kinda Khalaf received her B.S. (Summa Cum Laude with Distinction) and M.S. (Honors) in Mechanical Engineering from the Ohio State University. Her Ph.D., also from OSU, is in Biomechanics/Computational Biomechanics. She held several prestigious international academic appointments in Engineering and Medicine, including the University of Miami (USA) and the American University of Beirut (LEB), where she held the first joint appointment between the faculties of Engineering and Medicine. She currently serves as the associate chair of Biomedical Engineering and Rehabilitation leader at the Health Engineering Innovation Center at Khalifa University, Abu Dhabi. Medical biotechnologist in the field of clinical research and Vice President of the Italian Biotechnologists Association, with ten years’ experience in enhancement of the professional figure of the biotechnologist and in the development of biotechnological culture in Italy. Sajung Yun is CEO of Predictiv. He is also a scientist and adjunct professor at Johns Hopkins University in bioinformatics where he is teaching genome analysis class at the graduate school. After completing his Ph.D in Biomedical Sciences, Sajung joined the National Institutes of Health on a post-doctoral research fellowship for genetic engineering. During that time, Sajung also followed an MBA at Johns Hopkins University on Healthcare Management and entrepreneurship. Abdul Khalil Gardezi is a Distinguished Scientist and Academic Member of the Hydro Science Center, Postgraduate College in Agriculture Science in Mexico, since 1981.He has received distinctions for teaching, research and service from 1988 until 2022. He has been selected for the originality of his research, presented as the best paper and oral presentation from 2003 to 2022 in international congresses in Australia, Canada, China, Great Britain, Italy, Mexico, Germany, Scotland and USA He has published more than 200 papers national and internationally. Benoît Schoefs, plant physiologist, graduated from the Botanical Department, University of Liège (Belgium) in 1994. He worked for the University of Liège (1994-96), the South Bohemia University 1996-2000, the CNRS 2000-03. Professor (tenure) in Plant Physiology at the University of Dijon (France, 2003-11), he joined Le Mans University in September 2011 (France). He is the leader of the research group ‘Metabolism, Molecular Engineering of Microalgae and Applications’ At present, he has published more than 90 papers in international journals and monographies. He served as editor for books and special issues. He is a member of the editorial board of Frontiers in Plant Science, Marine Drugs, Communicative and Integrative Biology and Botany Letters. In addition to the Prize ‘D. Clos’ from the Academy of Sciences of Toulouse (France, 1998) for his PhD work, he won in 1998 the annual scientific competition organized by the Belgian Academy of Science for his work on pigment biosynthesis. His research is focuses on the physiological (photosynthesis, respiration), biochemical (carbon metabolism, pigments) and molecular responses (transcription factors) of photosynthetic organisms, including algae, to biotic or abiotic stresses and biotechnological applications.

Brandon Lucke-Wold was born and raised in Colorado Springs, CO. He graduated magna cum laude with a BS in Neuroscience and distinction in honors from Baylor University. He completed his MD/PhD, Master’s in Clinical and Translational Research, and the Global Health Track at West Virginia University School of Medicine. His research focus was on traumatic brain injury, neurosurgical simulation, and stroke. At West Virginia University, he also served as a health coach for the Diabetes Prevention and Management program in Morgantown and Charleston, WV, which significantly improved health outcomes for participants. In addition to his research and public health projects, he is a co-founder of the biotechnology company Wright-Wold Scientific, the pharmaceutical company CTE cure, and wasa science advocate on Capitol Hill through the Washington Fellow’s program. He has also served as president of the WVU chapters for the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, Neurosurgery Interest group, and Erlenmeyer Initiative Entrepreneur group. In addition, he has served as vice president for the graduate student neuroscience interest group, Nu Rho Psi Honor Society, and medical students for global health.He was an active member of the Gold Humanism Honor Society and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society. He is currently amember of the UF House Staff Council, Positive Culture Committee, Quality Improvement Committee, Board of Directors Alachua County Medical Society, and Accreditation Requirements Review Committee.He is married to Noelle Lucke-Wold and has two children. Dr. Qiang Zhang is a postdoctoral research fellow in the Advanced Rehabilitation Research Training Projects (ARRTs) funded by the National Institute on Disability, Independent Living, and Rehabilitation Research (NIDILRR). He is with the Closed-Loop Engineering for Advanced Rehabilitation (CLEAR) in the UNC/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University, USA. Dr. Zhang got his becholar and master degrees, 2014 and 2017, in Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering from Wuhan University, China, got his second master degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2019 from the University of Pittsburgh, USA, and got his Ph.D. degree in 2021 from the UNC/NCSU Joint Department of Biomedical Engineering at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill and North Carolina State University, USA. Dr. Zhang has authored more than 30 peer-reviewed journal and conference publications in various societies, including IEEE, EMBS, IFAC, and ASME. He has been nominated as one finalist for the Best Student Paper Award at the 16th IEEE/RAS-EMBS International Conference on Rehabilitation Robotics (ICORR 2019), and selected as the UNC/NCSU BME Department PhD Student Research Award in 2021. His research interests are in the areas of neuromuscular modeling, human motion intention detection, nonlinear control, adaptive control, impedance control, machine learning-based control, rehabilitative/assistive robots, exoskeleton, neuromuscular electrical stimulation (NMES), nonlinear observer, and sensor fusion.

Silvia Tedesco is graduated in solid state physics in the University of Rome "La Sapienza". She worked in the electronic engineering faculty of the same university to optimize parameters of complex systems, paying attention to their retroactive learning capability, and using cost functions and genetic algorithms. Silvia Tedesco subsequently worked in the field of biomedical engineering, at the National Institute of Health in Rome, to study biodegradable polymers solution properties, in order to find and optimize parameters and properties that favor or promote the formation of artificial fiber scaffolds for skin tissues. Several other jobs and experiences of life (including travelling around foreign countries and cultures) have helped her to have a more fully open mind and knowledge, very useful to her personal life and studies. Now Silvia Tedesco interests are in complex systems, with attention to aggregates (at macroscopic and microscopic level) and their behavior, and to the study of the links between them at different scales and in different fields of expression and manifestation.

Abdulagatov has more than 45 years expertise in the experimental study and modelling of the thermodynamic and transport properties of fluids and fluid mixture at high-temperatures and high-pressures including the critical and supercritical regions. Professor Abdulagatov, his Ph.D. in 1981 from the Moscow Power Engineering Institute, (Moscow, Russia). He was appointed as Thermophysical Properties Division Chief at the Institute of Physics of the Russian Academy of Sciences in 1986. Since 1991 to 1997 Chief of the Thermophysical Properties Division at the Geothermal and Renewal Energy Research Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Dr. Tamer Salem is a professor and the coordinator of the Molecular and Cell Biology concentration in the Biomedical Sciences program at University of Science and Technology at Zewail City. Salem graduated from the Faculty of Science, Cairo University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He received his Doctor of Philosophy degree in Microbiology and Cell Science from the University of Florida at Gainesville, USA. Salem started his professional career in 1993 at the Agricultural Genetic Engineering Research Institute (AGERI) in Egypt where he held various positions and in 2015, he was appointed a Professor of Microbial Molecular Biology. From 2006 to 2011, he worked in different universities in the United States including Michigan State University, University of Florida and Miami University. He joined Zewail City of Science and Technology since its inauguration in 2012. Salem was awarded the Norman E. Borlaug International Agricultural Science and Technology Fellows Program, USDA, USA and the Institute of International Education (IIE) Fellowship from the USA. Dr. Lazhar Zourgui is Full professor in Gabes university, Tunisia set up a research team "Macromolecular and genetic biochemistry" at the University of Gafsa from 2005 to 2012, then he created a research laboratory at the University of Gabes, whom he has directed since 2014. Born August 01, 1956 in Birlahmar-Tunisia graduated with a PHD in Biochemistry in 1984 at the University of Bordeaux-France and a Doctor at of Science in Biochemistry and molecular biology in 1988 at the University of Tunis-Tunisia. In 1987 to the present day, Professor Zourgui has ensured his role as a teacher and researcher in various universities, starting with the Paris-Sud University in Orsay, being a lecturer in 1987, at the Faculty of Medicine of Tripoli-Libya, as associate professor (1988-2000), then he joined the University of Gafsa at the Faculty of Sciences of Gafsa- Tunisia, before moving to the Higher Institute of Applied Biology of Medicine at the University of Gabes –Tunisia. During all these years, Professor zourgui has been able to ensure several administrative tasks such as, head of department of Genie biology, master's coordinator, vice-dean of the faculty of sciences of Gafsa, director of the higher institute of applied biology of Medicine - Tunisia. The main theme of his research is the evaluation of the biological activities of the cactus (Opuntia) as well as the purification and identification of biomolecules from cactus (Cladodes, fruits, seeds, fruits, etc.) having beneficial activities for humans such as that the antioxidant activity, anti diabetic, anti obesity and anti cancer….), Professor Zourgui is the author of 65 international articles and jbooks; as well as 101 communications in international conferences, Pr Zourgui was the mentor of 35 doctoral works and Maters, coordinators of 2 European projects. Prof. Zourgui has participated in various activities of technology transfer and valuation of cactus in cosmetics and food to industry.

Dr. Mahmoud Ragab is an Associate Professor at Department of Information Technology, Faculty of Computing and Information Technology, King Abdulaziz University, Jeddah, Saudi Arabia. He is currently the head of the Biological Quantum Computing Unit in the Centre for Artificial Intelligence in Precision Medicine, King Abdulaziz University. He is currently a Consultant for the Vice Presidency for Graduate Studies and Scientific Research and a Consultant for Vice President for Development, at KAU as well. He started working as a Data Scientist at a startup company, CAMP4 Therapeutics, Boston, USA, in 2022. Dr. Jian Li currently working as a professor at Panzhihua University in China and has been working in the field of microalgal biotechnology for more than two decades. Before taking his current position, he worked for Supreme Health New Zealand Ltd., New Zealand, as CTO, Catholic University of Louvain, Belgium, as a senior researcher (gourp leader), Shenzhen Eastwest Biotechnology Inc., China, as CTO, and Mera Pharmaceuticals Inc., USA, as a senior process engineer. He has published numerous papers in high rank biotechnology journals and has been invited to present in tens of biotechnology international conferences, with twice served as the section chair of microalgal biotechnology.

Dr. Gergely Maroti is a PI of the Extracellular Electron Transfer Research Group in BRC Szeged, a European Center of Excellence research institute. He has published more than 120 papers in international peer-reviewed journals in the field of genome-level investigations of symbiotic interactions and biohydrogen production. He participated in a number of international research projects related to H2 production, algal-bacterial interactions, and biological wastewater treatment solutions.

Amr Ahmed Elsayed from Egypt, working at Zagazig University. His current research interest is using biotechnology in food processing. He used methods and techniques of probiotic strains in the preparation of some functional foods. Now, working on the utilization of enzymes in functional food.

Dr. Caizhi Liao obtained Ph.D. from The University of Queensland, Australia. His research has been focused on the development of novel nanomaterials for various applications, including biomedical engineering. Since 2011, he has completed over 4 projects granted by University Grants Committee (Hong Kong) and ARC Discovery Foundation (Australia), as a leading researcher. To now, he published over 25 SCI papers, including those in Advanced Materials (IF>30, Times cited >300，ESI Highly-cited Paper). During the last 5 years, I have orally presented the work in several international conferences for over 15 times.

Stanislav Isayenkov has graduated from Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University (Kyiv, Ukraine) and obtained his PhD (Radiobiology) in 2000. In 2000 Stanislav Isayenkov started his active scientific career inLeibniz Institute of Plant Biochemistry (Halle) Germany as a post-doctoral Research Fellow. He has studied the role of jasmonates on the development of arbuscular mycorrhiza symbiosis. In 2005 Stanislav moved to UK to work in the plant transport group at the University of York. During his post-doctoral carrier in the UK he has studied functional characteristics of two-pore potassium channels (TPKs) in Arabidopsis and rice, the role of high-affinity potassium transporters (HKTs) in barley, mechanisms of arsenic transport in plants. In 2010 he moved back to Ukraine and started to work in the Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics. Stanislav’s primary scientific interests are plant mineral nutrition, ion transport, mechanisms of drought and salinity stress responses, halophytic crop relatives, molecular evolution and plant bioengineering. His research interest is focused on the evaluation of plant adaptation strategies and the identification of key genes involved in the regulation of salinity and drought stress in plants. Dr Isayenkov conducts intensive collaboration with leading centers in Plant Biology, e.g. Leibniz Institute of Plant Genetics and Crop Plant Research (IPK), Gatersleben (Germany), Martin Luther University Halle-Wittenberg (Germany), University of York (UK), University of Olomouc (Czech Republic), University of Tasmania (Australia) and the University of Foshan (China). Stanislav has published more than 40 peer-reviewed research papers on plant abiotic stress and membrane ion transport, plant bioengineering and molecular evolution. Dr Isayenkov actively participate in teaching, in particular, epigenetics, intracellular transport and intercellular communication courses and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics, Taras Shevchenko Kyiv State University (Kyiv, Ukraine) and the University of York. Since 2015, he is became Head of Dept. of Plant Food Products and Biofortification in the Institute of Food Biotechnology and Genomics (Kyiv, Ukraine).

Adriano Meniqueti is graduated from the Department of Industrial Chemistry (2012), Paranaense University, Brazil and obtained his master's degree in Biotechnology Applied to Agriculture (2016) in the same University. He has held visiting scientist at the Biomedical Sciences Institute of Abel Salazar (2019-2020), Porto University, Portugal and received his PhD in Chemistry of Natural Products from State University of Maringá (2021), Brazil, which was carried out a technical-scientific cooperation project between UEM and the multinational BASF Chemical Company, with the aim of developing bioherbicides. He is currently a researcher on Origem Biotechnology and his works focuses on Microbial Biotechnology and Chemistry of Natural Products: Optimization, Isolation and characterization of bioactive compounds with insecticidal, nematicidal, antifungal, bioremediation and allelopathic activity, originating from bacteria, endophytic fungi, basidiomycetes and cover crops.

Evrim Gunes Altuntas is graduated from the Department of Food Engineering, Ankara University, Turkey and received herdoctorate in food microbiology in 2011 in the same department. She worked in Ankara University Food Engineering Department until the end of her doctorate as of 2011, then she transferred to Ankara University Biotechnology Institute. She is currently working as Associate Professor at Ankara University Biotechnology Institute. She has been involved in scientific researches at the University of Nottingham Trent in UK and USDA Agricultural Research Service in USA, during and after her doctoral studies. Her research interests are mainly in the fields of food microbiology and biotechnology forensuring food safety and security, increasing food quality, developing biocontrol and rapid diagnosis methods. Her work focuses on food safety by using classical microbiology, molecular microbiology and mathematical modelling techniques. She has researched on lactic acid bacteria, probiotics, bacteriocins, biofilms, biosensors, and anti microbial sensitivity. She has experience in the isolation, identification and investigation of various properties of food and human-borne bacteria. She has been involved in about 30 peer-reviewed articles and book chapters, 45 congress presentations and 13 project studies.

Dr. Yassir Lekbach is currently an Associate Professor at Abdelmalek Essaâdi University in Larache, Morocco. He obtained his Master’s Degree in Microbial Biotechnology (2014) from Sidi Mohamed Ben Abdellah University and received his Ph.D.in Biotechnology from Shenyang National Laboratory for Materials Science, Northeastern University, China. There he focused on the mitigation of microbiologically influenced corrosion (MIC) using natural chemicals isolated from aromatic and medicinal plants. His research also included the usage of antimicrobial copper-bearing stainless steel to inhibit biofilm formation by corrosive microbes. Dr. Lekbach’s current research focuses on the study of MIC mechanisms at the molecular level.

Dr. Lamya Alomair is currently the Head of A.I. and Bioinformatics at King Abdullah International Medical Research Center (KAIMRC), and an affiliated faculty member at George Mason University, USA. Dr. Alomair is one of the first Saudi women to obtain a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, from King Saud University, and later joined the Ministry of National Guard Health Affairs (MNGHA). She was one of only two Saudi female employees in her department. Her hard work and dedication enabled her to overcome various obstacles in her early career. This in turn had a huge impact on the role of women in healthcare and technology projects. Dr. Lamya Alomair focused on trending topics such as Big Data, and related initiatives and projects. Then she joined in the field of Health Informatics by obtaining a Master’s Degree in Health Informatics from King Saud Bin Abdul-Aziz University for Health Sciences (KSAU-HS) in 2007. She applied her skills to many I.T. projects at the MNGHA, and participated in a few national initiatives in the field of Health Informatics. Polen Koçak is a Assistant Professor at the Biomedical Engineering Department of İstinye University, İstanbul, Turkey. She also have participated on ongoing project at the Biomaterials Innovation Research Center (BIRC) at Brigham Women’s Hospital (BWH), Harvard Medical School, MA, USA during her Ph.D. She is the co-founder and CEO of Genestetix Biotechnology. Her research focuses on developing engineered exosome based therapeutic strategies via solving the engineering and manufacturing challenges to enable exosomes to deliver precise therapeutics in a targeted way. Polen Koçak long-term research goal is to develop a pipeline of exosome based therapies which will hopefully have transformative impact for patients.

Nikolai Borisjuk (Mykola Borysyuk) has graduated from Kyiv State University (Kyiv, Ukraine), majoring in microbiology and obtained his PhD in molecular biology in 1988. In 1990 Dr. Borisjuk received Alexander von Humboldt Fellowship to conduct research at Tuebingen University in Germany. Since then he continued working at various International Research Institutions in Germany, USA, Australia and China. He has published more than 60 peer-reviewed research papers devoted to plant biodiversity, plant genome structure and evolution, plant genetic engineering and stress tolerance. He taught molecular biology and genetic engineering courses and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate students at the Kiev State University (Kiev, Ukraine), Institute of Plant Genetics (Gatersleben, Germany), Rutgers University (New Brunswick, USA), Thomas Jefferson University (Philadelphia, USA) and the University of Adelaide (Adelaide, Australia). Since 2016, he is a Professor at School of Life Sciences of the Huaiyin Normal University (Huai’an, China).

Yazhong Bu is an associate professor working at Xi’an Jiaotong University, China. He obtained his PhD in 2018 from the Institute of Chemistry, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICCAS), majoring in Polymer Chemistry and Physics. From 2018 to 2020, he worked in the National University of Ireland, Galway (NUIG) as a Marie Skłodowska-Curie Fellow. Prof. Bu has published many papers in high-impact journals, including Adv. Mater., ACS Appl. Mater. Interfaces, Bioact. Mater., Biomacromolecules, and so on. His research interest is developing novel hydrogel-based medical devices for wound treatment and tissue regeneration.

Zeena Sh. Saleh (clinical engineer/ Al-Karama Teaching Hospital/Iraq) Graduated from Baghdad university/Biomedical engineering department (2015), was an honor student and ranked second in her class. Started working at Al-Karama teaching hospital as a clinical engineer (2015). Received an Iraqi patent (2019) on the work entitled “the design and implementation of a foot drop correction system using functional electrical stimulation”. Received an MSc. degree from Al-Nahrain University/Biomedical engineering, also ranked second in her class (2021), on her research entitled “biomedical system for the prediction of pressure ulcers”.

Kyoungyeul Lee graduated from bio and brain engineering department of Korea Advanced Institute of Science and Technology (KAIST) in 2012 and got a Ph.D degree in 2019 for large-scale drug-target binding prediction using machine learning. He studied deep learning and biomolecular simulation for AI-driven drug discovery. And also have analyzed the genomes of rare disease patients to estimate the variant pathogenicity using molecular dynamics and docking simulations. Since 2020, Kyoungyeul Lee working for a start-up company, 3billion, which tries to help rare disease patients by offering services ranging from diagnosis to treatment. He developed 3Cnet, which is the deep learning based artificial intelligence to predict variant pathogenicity sensitively. Kyoungyeul Lee working on a project using genomic data to find the proper targets and binding sites of drug candidates and to find treatments for rare disease patients.
